I had this happen to me 25 yrs ago when I was a young woman. A slick attractive scammer was heavily in debt unknown to me. I got the phone calls, the whirlwind romance, etc.
He even went so far as to marry me and take me to live with him.
He promised me babies, a house, future, etc.
Soon after we married he told me of his debt. He told me after we payed it off we'd start a family. So we paid it off. Shortly after we paid it off he started an violent argument with me, beat me and left.
He started divorce proceedings right after he left.
A few months later he went onto another victim far away in another state and did the same thing. I was traumatized by the experience and to this day it still haunts me. I am happily married now with a family but I often think about my terrible experience so long ago.
I only hope karma catches up with him. People that do this are very evil and are sociopaths. I hope when karma catches up with him I hear about it so I can bring closure to myself.
I'm printing this story to make others aware that evil is alive and out there. I hope you learn from my experience.

you are so right again! there are many scammers out there in the internet world trying to take advantage of men and women alike who will use and abuse you, kick you to the curb, then leave you standing their trying to figure out WTF happened. Congrats on releasing yourself from her hold on you and for the lessons learned along the way!

It didn't take me very long to realize that everything in this blog sounds so familiar. My last girlfriend, who I just happen to meet online, was one of these types. I trusted her every word and even believed all the lies that she told me. It didn't take her long to run off with someone else after she was finished using me. She even went as far as to file an order of protection against me so I couldn't confront her. There is nothing like being blinded by love when someone is taking advantage of you
