Why Do You Care When He Does NOT Care? I was speaking to a woman the other day who was asking a group of ladies about the man she loves. She found out he was cheating with numerous women, and had lied to her repeatedly. She asked us if we thought he had lied about everything, what we thought about what he had done, and why we think he had done it. After going on and on about this, I finally started answering every question she asked with “Who cares?”. It, to me, was the only fitting answer. She knows now he is a cheater, she spoke to two of the women he cheated with and they all told her he said the same things to her that he did to them. So why does it matter, and why should she care anymore? She knows who he is now. A cheater and a liar. Someone who cheats on you and lies to you all the time cannot possibly love you, respect you, or care about your feelings. So why the concern with theirs? Who cares if he ever loved you, because even if he did, his love, like his word, [...]

When Will He Change His Mind? Shouldn’t You Change YOURS? You may be in love with a man who decided to end your relationship and hope one day he changes his mind. You may be currently with a man who refuses to commit to you, lies to you, cheats on you, or is emotionally unavailable to you, and you hope he changes his mind. You may be in a friends with benefits relationship, or one with no labels or boundaries, and hope one day he will change his mind. Why haven’t YOU changed YOUR mind and dropped this loser? What has gotten into your mind that you think his behavior is acceptable or what you deserve? What can you do to change your mind and see him for who he really is, and know that you deserve better than him? Instead of hoping his change will come someday, use that time to try and change yourself and your perception of your relationship with him. How can you love, trust or want to be with someone who treats you like shit, without respect, and does not make you happy? You did everything right to make him want to step up to [...]

When Should You Give Up On Him? I had a conversation with a woman the other day. She told me how the man she loved told her two weeks ago how much he loved her, couldn’t live without her, and loved spending time with her. The problem is, she just found out he GOT MARRIED this weekend. She told me how confused she was. Why did he say all those things to her only to get married? He spent so much time over the last few months pursuing her, and getting her to believe his feelings for her were real. Why did he do that? She then went on to ask me if I think his marriage will last, if he really loves his new wife, and what did I think was the reason he did this? She seemed so focused on all the wrong things. Yes, I understand she was hurt and devastated, but what does it take to give up on him? Instead of wondering what the future holds for him and his wife, isn’t it time to realize she has no future with him? Instead of wondering why he did what he did, isn’t it time to [...]

Why didn’t it work out with him? A lot of women that have written or I have spoken to want to have a reason, a good one, why it didn’t work out with him. (their ex boyfriend, some guy they dated, or their husband). They want to find the one good reason, one that clears it all up for them, so they can move on and let go. They look at all the reasons why it should have worked out, or could have worked out between them. The bottom line is that it didn’t work out. That should be reason enough. It does not matter how great it was, or how great it could have been. It may have had potential, but not all people or relationships live up to their potential. We all have a chance to win the lottery if we buy a ticket, but very few of us actually win. In relationships, it is smart to take a chance on a relationship with good potential, as opposed to one that could be a potential disaster. But even those that are a good risk do not always pay off. Instead of looking for the reasons why it didn’t [...]

Trying Again and Again With an Ex? I noticed a phenomenon when it comes to pens. Most people I know have a pen holder or a collection of pens somewhere in their house. I have seen them try to write with a pen, see that it clearly does not work, AND THEN PUT THE PEN BACK IN THE PEN HOLDER. I ask them “Do you think it is going so magically work later? Why not just throw it out?”. Many of them didn’t even realize they were doing it, and tossed out the broken pen. Others said they actually DID think the pen might work later. I bet many of you reading this have a pen in your house that does not work that you, for some reason, didn’t it throw away. This reminds me so much of how so many women hold on to their ex’s the same way. How many times do you have to see that a relationship with them clearly will not work? When is it time to throw your ex (and your hopes for your ex to change) in the trash? Why do we keep trying to make something broken work? There are so many [...]

How the Media Warps Relationship Reality Sometimes I wonder where people get their ideas about love and relationship from. When I got in line at the grocery store I saw many women’s magazines with article titles such as: 1. How to make him love you forever! 2. How to make sure he never cheats! 3. How to make a man commit to you forever! 4. Ways to make any man attracted to you! 5. Sex tips to make him yours! 6. Best ways to make him fall in love with you! Those were a few. I had wished I had lighter fluid and a lighter in my cart. This is what relationship articles are being written for women? Do women actually believe there is a tip to make him fall in love with you? Are you kidding me here? What mindless, senseless, illogical NONSENSE this all is. Between the pictures being airbrushed or photoshopped, the content is just as fake…. Now let’s take shows like the bachelor. Women on t.v crying about the man they “love” that they barely know, barely spent time with, and is cavorting around with tons of other chicks. REALLY? Seriously? REALLY? Are we supposed to [...]

When He Says He Doesn’t Know What He Wants Many women have found themselves involved or in love with a man who says, out of the blue, that he doesn’t know what he wants right now concerning a relationship. After a woman recovers from being completely blindsided, she then begins to wonder where that came from, and why. Why doesn’t he know what he wants all of a sudden? Why does he no longer know what he wants when he seemed to clearly know exactly what he wanted up til this point? When will he know what he wants? Since the statement came out of no where, and she really does not know where they stand and what the future holds, she is just as confused as he apparently is. Let’s take out some of the confusion. When he says he doesn’t know what he wants, he is actually telling you he knows what he doesn’t want. What he doesn’t want is the relationship you want. Men often pull this stunt and use this line when it is time for a relationship to go to the next level, or for one to start. When you are dating they say they [...]

Self Esteem – How Our Relationships are affected by it If one has low self esteem it has a very negative impact on romantic relationships. Someone with low self esteem constantly wonders what their new love interests sees in them, and quite often feels undeserving of love. Instead of believing that they deserve what everyone else does, someone with low self esteem expects less. Someone with low self esteem is always waiting for the shoe to drop, and rarely has hope their relationships will work out. Someone with low self esteem will put themselves down, and will not accept compliments gracefully. (They often do not believe a word of them) Someone involved in a relationship with someone with low self esteem may try very hard to help them build up their self esteem. The problem is, when and if it does not work, they get frustrated and quite often angry. This can sabotage a relationship big time. When someone loves you yet feel no matter what they do you will never believe it, they feel defeated. The believe they can never make you happy no matter what they do. They can get tired of hearing you put yourself down over [...]

Demanding Relationships – Is He Too Demanding? There is nothing wrong with demanding that people treat you with respect, dignity, and love. When your man’s demanding is disrespectful to you and is not loving behavior is when being too demanding becomes a problem. When the demands are all one sided, and your thoughts and your feelings are not taken into consideration, it borderlines on abuse. When someone demands to get their own way all the time and punishes you if they don’t, it has gotten way out of hand. Someone who is demanding does not care what their demands cost you. The care little or not at all about your feelings, opinions, and are not sensitive to your feelings, when they insist you be sensitive to theirs. It is all about them, and not about you. Demanding men will pressure you, never let up, and you may find yourself being worn down and just giving in because you either do not want to hear about it anymore, or you do it to keep the peace.
